MSI slashes prices on laptops, monitors and more for back to school season

It is back to school season, which means there are currently a ton of deals to be found on laptops. If you need a portable system you can take from home to Uni, MSI has a number of options well worth looking at. Better yet, the systems here will be good for some gaming during your downtime.

For an entry-level laptop, you can't go wrong with the MSI Thin GF63. With an Intel Core i5-12450H and an RTX 4050 under the hood, you'll have plenty of power for writing essays, browsing, streaming and gaming, particularly if you are someone who primarily enjoys the most popular multiplayer titles. As this is an RTX 40 series GPU, you will also have access to features like DLSS 3 to boost frame rates in supported games. Currently, this laptop is down to just under £750.

If you need something a step above, the MSI Cyborg 14 can be found for less than £900, equipped with an RTX 4060 GPU and an Intel Core i7-13620H processor.

If you are studying anything to do with AI, you'll want a fully AI-capable system to aid you. With that in mind, the MSI Stealth 16 AI Studio offers everything you need, including an Intel Core Ultra 7 CPU with AI accelerating hardware, as well as an RTX 4070 GPU. Currently, this laptop is £450 off in the UK, bringing the price down to £1750.

Finally, we have our two high-end picks with the MSI Raider 17 and the MSI Stealth 16 Mercedes AMG edition. The former is roughly £500 off right now, bringing the price down to under £2000 for a system with a 240Hz display, 32GB of RAM, an RTX 4070 and an Intel Core i9-14900HX. The latter is a special edition laptop, usually priced at £2899, now down to £2599, packed with an Intel Core Ultra 9 CPU and RTX 4070 graphics, along with a 2TB SSD.

If you are looking for a nice monitor for playing or working on a bigger screen while at your desk, then there are also some great options via SCAN. At just £109, you can get either a flat or curved 24-inch 1080p 180Hz monitor, providing an ideal balance between screen size, resolution and refresh rate for gaming. For £199, you can make the jump to a 170Hz, 27-inch QHD display instead with the MSI MAG 275CQRF, down from £349.

For the absolute best viewing experience, you'll want an OLED. The 27-inch MSI MAG 271QPX QD-OLED E2 240Hz monitor is currently down to £649, and the 360Hz version can be found for £799.

For desktop PC shoppers, you can also find deals on cases, coolers, motherboards and PSUs this month at Scan.
