The Wolf Among Us 2 gets new trailer and 2023 release date

Back in 2018, the financial situation at Telltale Games went south very swiftly and despite various cutbacks and management changes, the studio ultimately shut down. Since then, another company has acquired Telltale’s assets, leading to The Wolf Among Us 2 returning to development. The game has been back in development for a couple of years and now, we finally have a trailer and a release date.

After Telltale's shutdown, LCG Entertainment swooped in and brought the company's assets. After that, the company hired AdHoc, a studio formed by former Telltale staff, to develop The Wolf Among Us 2. The game had already been deep in development when Telltale shut down, but rather than reusing old code and assets, the new team at AdHoc chose to start again, rebooting the project in 2019.

The Wolf Among Us 2 will pick up six months after the events of the first game, which released all the way back in 2013. Our main protagonist, Bigby, will spend time exploring Fabletown and New York City, all while attempting to solve a case. The game will also see the return of several characters from the first game, with many of the original voice actors reprising their roles.

The Wolf Among Us 2 will be releasing in 2023 and just like previous Telltale games, it will be released in episodic form, with a new episode coming out every couple of months after the initial launch.
