It appears that we'll be getting some official information about Tango Gameworks next title, Ghostwire: Tokyo, within a matter of days. Press were recently invited to a preview event, revealing new gameplay details and a release date, all of which have leaked.
The preview embargo will apparently lift on the 4th of February, according to Dusk Golem. However, one unnamed site accidentally went live early, revealing that the game will be releasing on PS5 on the 24th of March.
The preview also sets up the main story for us, revealing that we'll be playing as Akito, a demon hunter with a ghost sidekick, as he goes on a mission to clear the city of Yokai. Combat focuses heavily on dodging and parrying, while exploration segments will have players searching for clues and investigating the supernatural.
While we don't have official confirmation on the preview embargo, or the 24th of March release date yet, we should hear more about Ghostwire Tokyo on Friday. Sony has a State of Play coming up this week too, so perhaps we'll see this mentioned in addition to Gran Turismo 7, which is the headlining game for the stream.
KitGuru Says: I really enjoyed The Evil Within, so I'm looking forward to seeing what Tango Gamesworks has in store for us next. Are any of you looking forward to Ghostwire: Tokyo? Will you be picking it up next month?
