Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part Two to be revealed this year

Final Fantasy 7 Remake finally came to life in 2020, but we've only seen part one of the story so far. Fans are eagerly awaiting the reveal of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part Two, and it looks like we won't have to wait much longer.

This week during an event celebrating the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy 7, the game's original director, Yoshinori Kitase, teased that we would get “more information this year” on what's next for the remake.

Here's the full quote, via VGC: “We are hard at work on Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis, so please look forward to that. In addition, with regards to the long awaited Final Fantasy VII Remake [Part 2]. There will be more information this year if we can”.

Square Enix is having a very busy year already, with Final Fantasy Origin, Final Fantasy 16, Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis and continued development on Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker. Over the summer during an event or possibly as part of a Sony State of Play, we should get our first look at Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part Two as well.
