It has been a good few months since the last Nintendo Direct stream, and with so much on the horizon for the Switch in 2022, fans have been eager for the next one. Following several rumours in recent weeks, today Nintendo officially announced its next stream – and it is taking place tomorrow.
The next major Nintendo Direct will be happening tomorrow, the 9th of February, starting at 10PM GMT. As always, the stream will take place on Nintendo's official YouTube channel – the stream is embedded below:
Nintendo likes to be pretty forthcoming with what it intends to show during streams to avoid the rumour mill pushing fan expectations to unreachable heights. For this week's Nintendo Direct, we can expect a 40 minute stream mainly focused on Nintendo Switch games launching in the first half of 2022.
Nintendo has an impressive slate of games for 2022, including Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 (unofficial title), Splatoon 3, Bayonetta 3 and more. Rumour has it that new games in the Fire Emblem and Xenoblade franchises are also nearly ready to be announced.

KitGuru Says: We're almost certainly going to get updates on Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Advance Wars 1+2 during this stream. I'd expect Zelda news to be saved for another Direct over the Summer. Everything else is up in the air at the moment. Personally, I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for anything Fire Emblem or Xenoblade related. Will you be tuning into the Direct tomorrow evening? What games are you hoping to see?
