Lian Li shows updated cases, fans, and accessories at Digital Expo 2022

Lian Li's Digital Expo returns for 2022, with new prototypes and upcoming products to show. At the previous Digital Expo in 2021, we saw the Lancool III case, the V3000+ and the Uni Fan SL120 Infinity fans. For 2022, Lian Li has updates on these products, as well as new launches, including the Uni Fan P28 fan, the Strimer Plus V2 cables, and the Lian Li L-Connect 3 RGB software.

Starting with the Lian Li Lancool III, the case's aesthetics remained mostly the same since it was first introduced. However, its design has some key changes, including a redesigned opening mechanism for the tempered glass panels and support for 360mm radiators in more areas. The front panel now has a lever to remove the radiator bracket, and the PSU shroud top panel is adjustable and removable. Moreover, the case now has an adjustable bar to pass cables, modular and removable drive cages, and a revised right-side shroud panel with removable support for SSDs. This case will be available in RGB and non-RGB versions, each with 3x pre-installed 140mm fans.

The V3000+ has received some modifications to its original dual-system design, now featuring front, top and side shroud vented panels. The tempered glass panels have also been modified, using a new push-lock mechanism. Lian Li also added a logo with light projection to give the case a more premium look, as well as toolless SSD trays behind the motherboard plate and a new top I/O layout. Lastly, Lian Li equipped a multidirectional bracket on the front panel for radiators and fans and moved the drive cages from the PSU shroud to the main chamber.

Moving on to the Uni Fan SL120 Infinity, Lian Li has improved its looks by adding infinity mirrors to the centre fan and sides and narrow light grooves along the front edges of the fan. The cable management was also enhanced through a redesigned and thinner fan cluster power module, now located at the centre of the fan frame and with a two-way cable orientation. In addition, the fan-interlocking keys are now removable, and the PWM and ARGB cables were combined into one. To complete the list of improvements, Lian Li modified the Uni hub to support two Galahad AIO ARGB pumps.

As for new products, Lian showcased the Uni Fan P28, a 28mm thick fan using fluid dynamic bearings and durable materials to reduce vibration and noise during its operation. Like the Uni Fan SL120 Infinity fans, it also has a small power module and removable fan interlocking keys to optimise clearance for radiators. Additionally, users can acquire ARGB side plates separately to replace the Uni Fan P28's decorative strips.

The Strimer Plus V2 also had some time dedicated to them during the presentation, allowing Lian Li to show what new things they bring. The first thing to notice is the cables are now thinner and covered in silicon to improve flexibility. The diffuser strip is also new, giving a more vibrant lighting effect. Finally, the dual and triple PCIe power connector versions now feature 6+2-pin connectors for improved compatibility.

Finally, we have the new L-connect III RGB software system, which now displays system information and allows users to configure fan profiles based on GPU and CPU temperatures, and apply RGB effects to specific fan models and accessories. The new software can also synchronise all compatible products with a push of a button and update product firmware automatically.
