Historically known for their work on the Forza Horizon series, Playground Games have been tasked with the development of the much-anticipated Fable reboot. Seemingly in order to assist with these expanded responsibilities, Playground Games have now opened up a 3rd studio location.
Back in 2017, it was announced that Playground Games had opened up a second studio in order to develop a “non-racing project” – which we now know is of course the Fable reboot.
It seems the Forza/Fable developer has since opened up yet another studio, with ResetEra user ‘–R’ discovering a post on the company’s LinkedIn stating:
“Today, Playground has three world-class studios in Leamington Spa. In our original HQ, we continue to support and grow the huge, vibrant Horizon community. In our new studios on the other side of town, we are excited to be developing Fable, a new beginning for the legendary franchise.”
Based on the wording, the two newer studios have been tasked with the development of Fable while the original studio works on presumably Forza Horizon 6.
Of course, there is likely a great deal of communication and collaboration between the three studios, but it is interesting nonetheless to see just how much is going into the upcoming Fable reboot.
