Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions gets new trailer as pre-orders go live

One of the biggest omissions from Portkey Games’ Hogwarts Legacy was a comprehensive Quidditch mode, despite the presence of brooms in the game. Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is set to soon fill that hole, with the upcoming title getting a new gameplay trailer alongside details on its pre-orders.

In alignment with the pre-orders for Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions going live, WB Games released a new trailer for the upcoming sports title, showing off its various modes including online PvP, a single player ‘career’ mode and the opportunity to win the Quidditch World Cup.

Beyond this, the game will feature many familiar faces, letting you play as Malfoy; Ron Weasley; and Harry Potter – among others. Of course, you’ll also be able to create your own custom character, with outfits, accessories and more.

Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is set to arrive on the 3rd of September with pre-orders available right now. The game comes in both Standard and Deluxe Editions, with the former costing £24.99 and the latter upping the price to £34.99.

The Deluxe Edition comes with Slytherin, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Gryffindor House Packs alongside 2,000 gold coins. It is worth noting that gold coins cannot be purchased using real money and there are no plans to introduce any microtransactions…for now.

Finally, it is worth noting that Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions can’t be pre-ordered on PlayStation currently, however WB did reveal that the game will be a day-one PS Plus addition (alongside a bonus broom skin).

While it was a shame to see Quidditch absent from Hogwarts Legacy, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions appears to be going all out on giving fans the fictional sports game of their dreams. Hopefully it can meet these expectations.
