Mafia: Definitive Edition and Crash Bandicoot to hit Game Pass in August

Earlier this week, sources claimed that Mafia: Definitive Edition would be one of next month's Xbox Game Pass additions. Since then, Microsoft has chosen to confirm the leak, adding that the game will be arriving in mid August.

The Xbox Game Pass X account shared the announcement, confirming that Mafia: Definitive Edition, the remake of the classic, will be joining Game Pass on the 13th of August for both PC and Xbox consoles.

However, Microsoft has yet to confirm a few other games that have leaked from the July 2024 line-up. Currently, it is also expected that Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Wargroove 2 will also be joining Game Pass in the first half of August. These two titles were also named by eXtas1s, the same leaker who accurately revealed Mafia: Definitive Edition.

In addition to this, Pure Xbox has also revealed a list of games expected to join Game Pass in August based off of gathered information. It seems that Creatures of Ava, Core Keeper, Atlus Fallen and Sopa – Tale of the Stolen Potato will also be part of next month's line-up.

Microsoft ended July with the surprise addition of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, something that had leaked weeks before hand, following reports that Activision titles would finally be joining Game Pass soon.

KitGuru Says: Call of Duty finally being on Game Pass is a big deal, even if Modern Warfare 3 has arrived much later than anticipated. It opens the door for so many more players to try out the multiplayer and campaign modes. While the campaign in MW3 is not very good and perhaps even best avoided, the multiplayer this year has been widely praised and many fan favourite maps have returned.
