The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe may finally come out soon

The Stanley Parable was one of the most exciting PC exclusives to release in 2013, offering players a unique story with dynamic narration, plenty of experimentation, and ultimately a wholly memorable experience. Originally released only for PC, the Stanley Parable was announced to be coming to consoles in 2019 – though it looks like it might actually finally be releasing soon.

Originally announced back in 2018 with a 2019 release date, The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is a remake / pseudo-sequel to the 2013 PC exclusive, which will feature new content, endings, choices and more (while also including the original game in the package).

Since the game’s delay from 2019, Ultra Deluxe was later claimed to be coming in Early 2022 (after being also slated for 2020 and 2021). As 2022 inches towards its second Quarter, it appears on the outside that The Stanley Parable may not hit its purported release window.

Reddit user ‘the_andshrew’ looked into the backend of the PlayStation Network servers, discovering a recent addition in the form of The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe – suggesting that the game’s release is planned to be sooner rather than later.

Rumours have claimed that the game could see an April release with speculation suggesting that it could be the 27th of April to coincide with Stanley’s office number (#427).

The original Stanley Parable broke many video game tropes and in doing so managed to create a memorable and well revered experience. Hopefully the teams at Crows Crows Crows and Galactic Cafe can strike gold once again.
