Philips’ latest gaming monitors offer 1080p at 240Hz or 4K/144Hz

Over the last couple of years, Philips has been making a good push into the gaming monitor market. We've seen a number of large gaming monitors aimed at living room and console gaming. Now, Philips has two desktop-class displays hitting shelves, a 27-inch 1080p display with 240Hz refresh rate, and a 32-inch 4K/144Hz monitor with HDR.

The new Philips Monitors M5000 series aims to deliver everything you need for an optimal gaming experience. The smaller Philips 27M1N5200PA perfectly suits fast-paced competitive gameplay thanks to its Full HD, 240Hz Fast IPS panel. The response time is also kept to a minimum, measuring in at 0.5ms MPRT, and you get FreeSync Premium to completely eliminate screen tearing and ghosting.

The Philips 32M1N5800A is the high-end option, packing a 32-inch 4K/144Hz panel, HDMI 2.1 connectivity, 1ms (GTG) response time and DisplayHDR 400 certification, allowing for a peak brightness of 400 nits while displaying supported HDR content. At its size and resolution, this monitor also suits productivity tasks well, so Philips has included features like MultiView, allowing multiple sources to be connected in PbP mode. Both monitors also comes with a SmartErgoBase, allowing users to adjust the display and route their cables to reduce desk clutter.

The Philips 27M1N5200PA is already available at the MSRP of £319.99 while the Philips 32M1N5800A will be available later this month with an MSRP of £759.99.
