AMD and Nvidia GPU prices hit lowest point since January 2021

So far in 2022, GPU prices have been slowly declining. Now, analysis of EU retail GPU prices has revealed that prices have reached their lowest point since January 2021. We're still some ways off from reaching MSRP price levels, but the premium has dropped considerably for some graphics cards. 

The data gathered by 3DCenter shows that some high-end graphics cards are €100 cheaper now compared to February. On average, the price of an AMD Radeon RX 6000 series graphics card has dropped by another 10 percent. Meanwhile, Nvidia GPUs have seen prices drop from 57 percent above MSRP to 41 percent above MSRP. Like we noted earlier, there is still some ways to go, but we should see pricing drop closer to MSRP levels soon, as GPU availability has continued to improve, hitting record levels in some countries, like Germany and Austria.

At the moment, the most inflated card on the market is the AMD Radeon RX 6800, which is being sold at 63 percent above MSRP prices. On the other hand, the least inflated graphics card right now appears to be the RX 6500 XT, which is priced at 108 percent over the MSRP. On the Nvidia side, the RTX 3080 Ti continues to dip, selling at 16 percent over its suggested retail price. However, the RTX 3070 still suffers from major inflation, selling at 60 percent over MSRP on average.

If this trend continues at its current pace, then some graphics cards will finally be sold at MSRP prices within the next three months. However, it is worth noting that prices have barely changed in the last week, which could indicate that price deflation is slowing down.
