Scythe revamps Fuma 2 cooler with faster Kaze Flex II fans

Scythe has been in the DIY PC market for quite some time, consistently improving along the way. While the Fuma 2 CPU cooler launched to decent reception, there was some room for improvement, leading to the new Fuma 2 Rev. B, which swaps out the original fans for upgraded Kaze Flex II fans. 

The heatsink looks the same as the original Fuma 2, using a dual-tower design with six heat pipes. As for the fans, they also look the same as their predecessors, but instead of using grey rubber pads, the new ones are black for a more homogeneous design. The new fans are also considerably faster, both spinning up to 1500RPM. The Kaze Flex II Slim fans can push up to 39.44CFM at 0.96mmH2O, while the standard Kaze Flex II pushes up to 67.62CFM at 1.50mmH2O.

Like the original, the asymmetrical design and the use of a slimmer fan in the front improves RAM compatibility. At the front of the cooler, users should be able to install up to four memory modules without an issue. However, the back of the cooler can only support memory modules up to 55mm tall, but this should only be an issue for those building HEDT systems with eight memory slots. The heatsink measures 137x129x155mm (WxDxH), so most m-ATX and ATX cases will support it.

Moreover, as most Scythe coolers of today, it uses the H.P.M.S. IV mounting system to ease up the installation process. Socket compatibility includes Intel LGA 1700/1200/115X/2066 Square ILM/2011 (V3) Square ILM and AMD AM4/AM3(+)/AM2(+)/FM2/FM1.

The Scythe Fuma 2 Rev.B CPU cooler is now available in the US, Japan and Taiwan. Availability in Europe is planned for April 2022.
