Intel teases Arc ‘Limited Edition’ desktop graphics card coming this summer

Today, Intel officially unveiled the Arc A-Series of GPUs for laptops, promising Arc 3-powered laptops imminently, followed by Arc 5 and Arc 7-equipped laptops this Summer. Over the summer, Intel will also be rolling out the first Arc graphics cards for desktop PCs. 

Alongside the mobile GPU launch, Intel has also begun teasing its upcoming ‘limited edition' Arc graphics card. This will essentially be Intel's Founders Edition equivalent, while board partners like Asus, MSI, Gigabyte and others will create custom-cooled solutions, which will be more widely available.

The image gives away very little and Intel hasn't confirmed specifics about this GPU, its specs or expected performance. However, we can see that this GPU will have a sleek dual-fan cooler, three DisplayPort ports and an HDMI port for connectivity.

Intel's desktop GPUs will pack more Xe Cores, RT units and faster memory at the top-end compared to the laptop variants. The first desktop GPUs will launch ‘this summer', so hopefully we'll have more news in June.

KitGuru Says: As interesting as the mobile GPUs are, many of us DIY PC enthusiasts are more interested in the desktop versions. The card looks nice, but we still need to see specs and benchmarks before we start getting excited.
