EK will release waterblocks for the RTX 3090 Ti cards, but it will take a while

You might've already heard that the Nvidia RTX 3090 Ti is a power-hungry GPU. As such, it needs a decent cooling solution to keep temperatures in check. With that in mind, EK has announced plans to release new water blocks, allowing enthusiasts to add the GPU to a custom liquid cooling loop.

EK may well be the most popular water cooling component seller worldwide, and as such, some enthusiasts would likely opt to use one of its blocks on their RTX 3090 Ti cards. However, EK has confirmed that the water blocks for Nvidia's new flagship GPU will take some time to produce. A specific reason for the delay in blocks has not been specified, but EK has promised updates as soon as possible.

In the meantime, EK confirmed some details about the upcoming water blocks. We already know they will be based on the Vector² design, meaning they will be Matrix7-compatible for easier assembling of the loop. However, the Founders Edition water block won't be Matrix7 compliant.

EK will have a Founders Edition block first and then, the company will also release blocks for the most popular custom-cooled RTX 3090 Ti graphics cards, including the Asus Strix, EVGA FTW3, MSI Trio and the MSI Suprim. A block for reference PCB models of the RTX 3090 Ti will also be released.

Lastly, EK stated it would also launch active backplates for the RTX 3090 Ti. Still, due to the different memory configuration (12 front-faced 2GB modules), users shouldn't expect a significant decrease in memory temperature.
