This new version will retail for £189.99, making it the same price as the 3-year-old HD60 S+ – but has much even changed to warrant an upgrade? Pros

• New design for a cleaner aesthetic.
• Support for VRR compatible TVs / consoles.
• 4K 30 recording support.
• Support for 4K 60 HDR passthrough.
• Support for 1440p 120 passthrough.
• Play in HDR and record in SDR.
• Small, lightweight, good for streamers on the go.

Cons

• Only 4:2:0 recording (but still looks great).
• 4K/30 recordings are only possible with 4K/30 source.
• Only 1 HDMI cable included.
• No real stand out features compared to the HD60 S+.

KitGuru says: Although not much has changed from the HD60 S+, we now have VRR support and can record 4K/30 (with limitations) – and as this is the same price as the HD60s+, it will simply replace it in the line-up. If you're new to streaming the HD60X is worth buying, but if you already have the HD60 S+, unless you really need those new features (VRR and 4K 30 recording) then you might want to wait for Elgato's future offerings.
