Arkane co-founder working on a new immersive sim, similar to Dishonored and Prey

While Bethesda has seemingly lost interest in the Dishonored series, there are still plenty of fans that would love to see another one. Arkane co-founder and former head, Raphael Colantonio is looking to deliver something similar with his new studio, WolfEye.

Colantonio has talked a bit about his new studio's next project this week. While WolfEye Studios' first game was a top-down shooter set in a fantastical version of the wild west, their next game will be more in-line with Arkane's immersive sim roots.

Specifically, Colantonio has begun hyping up the new game by letting fans know that it will capture that 1st-person flavour found in titles like Dishonored and Prey. Both titles were developed by Arkane Austin, but after Colantonio left in 2017, the studio began working on Redfall, an ill-fated vampire co-op shooter. Ultimately, Microsoft ended up closing the studio down after Redfall failed to capture an audience.

Apparently, more details on this mystery game will be revealed in the next few days, so we'll keep our eyes peeled for more information later this week.

KitGuru Says: With Arkane going in a different direction with its last project and Deus Ex on ice, we've had a pretty major shortage of first-person immersive sims. At this point, Cyberpunk 2077 might be the closest thing we've had to a major title in this genre.
