Pros:
- The new Zen 5 architecture delivers great performance at low power settings
- AMD Ryzen 5 9600X is cheaper than we expected
- Ryzen 9000 is socket compatible with Ryzen 7000
- DDR5 memory and B650 motherboards offer pleasingly good value
Cons:
- Gamers should wait for the inevitable Ryzen 7 9800X3D before making a decision
- New 800-series motherboards won’t be launched for some while to come
KitGuru says: The AMD Zen 5 9600X is impressive but we know there is more to come so the best advice is to wait a while.
