Mountain Everest 60 Gaming Keyboard Review

Rating: 9.0.

Mountain is a brand mostly known for its Everest Max keyboard that used viral marketing to try and win over the gaming community (and with some success). Today Mountain is back with something new, taking on feedback from the Everest Max to make something that is arguably a much-improved keyboard – the Everest 60. A 60% wired gaming keyboard offering Mountain's own factory-lubed switches, impressive sound dampening and many customisation options including hot-swappable switches… is it too good to be true?

Pros

  • Great feeling own-brand switches.
  • VERY quiet compared to similarly priced keyboards.
  • Premium build quality and overall feel.
  • Sleek minimalistic design.
  • 3 USB-C connection options for cable management.
  • Hot-swappable switches.
  • Amazing value for money at £109.99.

Cons

  • The small shift key is hard to get used to.
  • RGB isn't that bright.
  • Magnetic riser feet, although interesting, are not that practical.

KitGuru says: In spite of a few negatives (that really don't affect performance) the Everest 60 is a remarkably good keyboard for the price. The switches are responsive and feel good, plus they are SO QUIET. The overall typing experience is like nothing else you can get for this price so for me it is a must have keyboard if you don't want to spend a fortune but still want all the thrills of modding and a premium feel.
