Razer has been a key player in the high-end laptop market for years now, with each Razer Blade offering great performance for gaming and professional tasks. Now, Razer is looking to tackle a new market – workstations. Teaming up with deep learning specialists, Lambda, Razer has created the “world's most powerful laptop for deep learning” – known as the Tensorbook.
With the Tensorbook, Lambda hopes to provide ML engineers with a powerful laptop to run and test AI/ML models without connecting to a remote machine. Pre-installed with Ubuntu Linux 20.04 LTS (Windows dual boot optional) and Lambda's tech stack, including PyTorch, TensorFlow, CUDA, cuDNN, and Nvidia drivers, the Tensorbook has everything an ML engineer might need.
Powered by an Nvidia RTX 3080 16GB Max-Q GPU and an Intel i7-11800 CPU, the latest Lambda laptop should be capable of processing any ML model you throw at it. You can also make use of the 64GB of DDR4-3200 memory and the 2TB PCIe 4.0 SSD storage to execute and store your models. As for the display, it uses a 15.6-inch panel with a 165Hz refresh rate and a 1440p resolution.
Looking at the laptop, you can see where Razer's expertise came into play. The Lambda Tensorbook is designed to be sleek and stylish, just like the Razer Blade, with a full aluminium unibody chassis and plenty of connectivity options, including Thunderbolt 4, USB 3.2, HDMI 2.1, an SD Card reader and a headphone jack. The Lambda x Razer Tensorbook is now available for $3,499.

KitGuru says: The Tensorbook is a very expensive laptop, and we do question the choice of an 11th Gen CPU here. Still, it is aimed at a very niche market, and not general users or gamers.
