For the past couple of years, PC gamers have had a particularly tough time due to GPU shortages and skyrocketing prices. There are signs that things will return to normal in the coming months, and Nvidia is looking to spur things along a bit. Nvidia has teamed up with a number of its partners in the UK to ensure stock of GPUs at reasonable prices in the UK.
Nvidia has nine UK deals in place, ensuring more reasonable price tags for several GPUs and pre-built PCs. You won't be getting an RTX 3080 at MSRP, but you'll be able to get one for less than £1,000. You'll find better offers for the RTX 3070 Ti and GTX 1660 Super. There are also decent options for RTX 3060 and RTX 3050 PCs.
At the entry level, we have the MSI GeForce GTX 1660 Super Aero ITX OC graphics card, which is now priced at £259.99. If you're after an RTX 3070 Ti, then the Inno3D X3 edition is currently available for £629.99. If you're after an RTX 3050 or RTX 3060, then there are two prebuilt PCs available – the Cyberpower Ultra 45 VR with RTX 3060 for £899 and the AlphaSync Diamond with RTX 3050 for £699.99.
Finally, there are ASUS and Gigabyte RTX 3080s available for £999.99, and RTX 3080 Ti models available starting at £1,099.99. You can find all the deals HERE.
As we noted before, prices are still a tad higher than we'd like them to be, but considering how awful prices have been in the last year, these current offers aren't too bad. It is worth noting though that retail GPU prices are declining on a month-to-month basis. With that in mind, it might also be worth waiting until the Summer to see how things go. There will be promotions to shift RTX 30 stock in the second half of this year regardless, as Nvidia's next-gen GPUs are expected to launch later this year.
KitGuru Says: Like many of you, I am still using a GTX 10 series card myself and have been waiting for the GPU shortage to blow over. As we're coming to the end of the RTX 30 generation though, it might be worth waiting a bit longer, as there should be more price drops in the second half of the year.
