We've seen a lot of game delays in recent years, and the number of pushed back titles seems to increase each year. With that in mind, it is incredibly rare to see a game's release brought forward to an earlier date. As usual though, Nintendo is ready to defy convention, moving the launch of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 from Autumn to Summer.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 was announced during Nintendo's Q1 Direct stream. The massive RPG sequel was planned to release in September 2022, but development has been going so well that the release date has been moved forward. As of today, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will be releasing on the 29th of July.
The new release date for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 was revealed alongside a new full trailer for the game, which you can see above.
This gives Nintendo a little more room to spread out Splatoon 3, Bayonetta 3 and the new Pokémon games all arriving in the second half of the year. Those are just the games we know about too, as Nintendo will have a few more big game announcements for late 2022 and beyond later in the year.

KitGuru Says: Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is my most anticipated game of the year so far, so it is incredibly exciting to see the game launching months earlier than expected. Will you be picking this one up over the summer?
