Sony improves DualSense PC support

The DualSense controller has proven to be highly successful with its mix of new haptic feedback features. Some titles have full support for DualSense on PC as well, making it an increasingly popular option for a PC gaming controller. Now to make things easier for PC gamers, Sony has released a DualSense app. 

The application is pretty simple, allowing users to update their controller's firmware to the latest version without plugging it into a console. There are no additional features, such as controller settings or button bindings, but it is a start.

The DualSense firmware updater is available now for Windows 10 and Windows 11. After downloading it, you'll just need to plug your controller in via USB and you can then update the firmware.

A number of PC games fully support the DualSense feature set at this point, including the likes of Metro Exodus, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Far Cry 6, Call of Duty Vanguard, Dying Light 2, Deathloop, Ghostwire Tokyo and Death Stranding: Director's Cut.
