Back 4 Blood’s Tunnels of Terror expansion has finally arrived

Turtle Rock has always had post-launch expansions and DLCs planned for Back 4 Blood, although it has taken a while longer than expected. Last month, the studio announced that the first expansion, Tunnels of Terror, would be launching in April. This week, the big update officially began rolling out, adding in a new game mode, new characters, new enemies and more.

At launch, Back 4 Blood packed one single, but lengthy campaign, as well as a multiplayer horde mode. In the months since release, the game has received bug fixes, quality of life updates and balance changes. Now, with the first major DLC out the door, players have a new game mode, Ridden Hives, to play, as well as two new characters, enabling new playstyles and abilities for PvE runs.

The Tunnels of Terror expansion also brings new variations of three Special Ridden, eight new skins, new perk cards and legendary weapons. There are also two more expansions planned this year, so there shouldn't be nearly as long a gap between now and the next expansion release.

Aside from the new content, this week's Back 4 Blood update also makes further improvements, balance updates and fixes to the main campaign, perk cards and UI. The full patch notes can be viewed HERE.
