Custom RX 6950XT GPUs will cost almost as much as an RTX 3090 Ti at some retailers

The first retail listings for the Radeon RX 6950XT have just gone live, and as it seems, they will be quite expensive. Based on two listings from Australian retailers, the Radeon RX 6950XT will cost about the same as the RTX 3090 Ti.

The Radeon RX 6950XT listings spotted by @momomo_us were for the Gigabyte Radeon RX 6950XT Gaming OC. The retailers selling this card are Megabuy and ITNest (+10 in stock), which have the card priced for AUD$3241.41 (£1842,13) and AUD$3320.38 (£1887.01), respectively. At these prices, AMD's new flagship card will apparently come at the same price as Nvidia's RTX 3090 Ti models. Considering the 6900XT cards are listed on the same retailer for around AUD$2000, those prices seem slightly exaggerated.

Besides the Gigabyte Radeon RX 6950XT Gaming OC, Gigabyte's EEC listing (via VideoCardz) shows the company is planning many more Radeon RX 6x50XT cards. In total, Gigabyte could release 3x RX 6950XT cards, 3x RX 6750XT cards, and 4x RX 6650XT cards.

AMD hasn't yet confirmed the refreshed Radeon RX 6x50XT GPUs are coming, but the latest rumours claim they will release on May 10th.

KitGuru says: Considering the only difference between the Radeon RX 6900XT and the RX 6950XT should be the faster memory, it will be hard to justify the price premium that seems to be in play.
