We've been hearing about Intel's next-gen “Raptor Lake” CPUs for a while now. Raptor Lake will be the follow-up to Alder Lake, making improvements to the new hybrid architecture. We're still months away from the first Raptor Lake processors becoming available, but early samples are starting to pop up in benchmark databases, giving us an early look at performance.
The benchmark entry shared by @momomo_us was found in the Userbenchmark database, allowing us to compare it with other mobile chips easily. Before comparing scores, note that the unnamed Raptor Lake features 14 cores and 20 threads, implying it has six P-Cores and eight E-cores. In addition, the entry also tells us the base clock was set at 2.5GHz, boosting up to 4.2GHz, and that the chip had a Xe-based iGPU.
Considering its specifications, the best comparison we can make is with the Core i9-12900HK, Intel's flagship Alder Lake mobile chip. Even if this is likely an engineering sample, it's already 9-15% faster than the average Core i9-12900HK in single, dual, quad, octa and 64-core tests.
Even if it has the same core/thread count as the Core i9-12900HK, it's unclear if this chip is Intel's Raptor Lake mobile flagship. Intel Raptor Lake desktop CPUs are expected to have more cores than their Alder Lake counterparts, but we're unsure if this will also happen for the mobile platform.

KitGuru says: A 9-15% performance gain over Alder Lake would be pretty decent for Raptor Lake. However, considering how far we still are from Raptor Lake's release, we may see even more from these chips.
