Ever since the release of The Last of Us Part II, the team at Naughty Dog have remained relatively silent regarding their current development endeavors. Though we know the team is working on the standalone multiplayer release of The Last of Us Factions, a new leak has all-but-confirmed a long-standing rumour of a remake in the works.
As reported by PlayStation Universe, a QA Tester working at Naughty Dog recently updated their LinkedIn profile to include their current work on a number of unreleased games by the studio.
Alongside working on “QA testing and development support on environment design for unannounced multiplayer project” and “QA testing and development support + Level Point of Contact for Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves” they also revealed that they have been working on “QA testing and development support + Level Point of Contact for unannounced remake project.”
For the uninitiated, rumours have been circulating suggesting that Naughty Dog is working on a remake of the award-winning PS3 title The Last of Us. According to these rumours, the remake was initially being developed by an external studio – though it was later decided that the project would instead be worked on internally at Naughty Dog.
Of course, nothing is confirmed until announced by Naughty Dog themselves, but this latest leak serves as the first tangible evidence of this upcoming remake.
