Respawn Entertainment is very busy at the moment, with three Star Wars games all in the works, including a sequel to Jedi Fallen Order. We won't be playing Fallen Order 2 until sometime next year, and when it does arrive, it'll be skipping over last-gen console hardware.
In a recent Q&A stream, reporter, Jeff Grubb, who has accurately revealed details on various games in the past, said that Jedi Fallen Order 2 should be next-gen only. Given that the game should be releasing next year, almost three years on from the launch of the Xbox Series X/S and PS5 consoles, this makes a lot of sense – especially if Respawn is planning to use Unreal Engine 5 instead of Unreal Engine 4.
Grubb added that we'll be getting some newly confirmed details on Fallen Order 2 in just a few weeks time. While the game won't be part of any May 4th campaigns, it will be showing up at Star Wars Celebration towards the end of May.
Respawn is currently working on three Star Wars titles – a sequel to Jedi Fallen Order, a new first person shooter and a new strategy game. It is expected that Jedi Fallen Order 2 will be arriving first, with the other titles coming later down the line.
KitGuru Says: Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order is one of my favourite games in the franchise, and it is certainly the best Star Wars game we've had in the last decade. Hopefully the sequel can continue to deliver at a high level.
