Razer’s new Viper V2 Pro is 20% lighter than its predecessor

It has been a while since the Razer Viper first launched and during that time, better mouse switches and sensors have been developed, and  manufacturers have discovered new ways to cut down on overall weight. Now, the Razer Viper V2 Pro is launching, packing all of these improvements and more.

Today, Razer launched the Viper V2 Pro, an ultra-lightweight (58g) wireless gaming mouse aimed at competitive gamers who require speed and precision to make timely adjustments mid-game. The Viper V2 Pro is more than 20 percent lighter than the Viper Ultimate, and packs new Gen-3 mouse switches and a new Focus Pro 30K optical sensor.

Razer’s new Focus Pro 30K Optical Sensor boasts a complete resolution accuracy of 99.8%, and is backed by a number of software features, like Smart Tracking, Motion Sync and Asymmetric Cut-off to ensure peak performance at all times. The Asymmetric Cut-off feature has been enhanced to support up to 26 granular levels of height adjustment compared to just 3 in the previous version. This wider array of customization enables users to set a lift-off and landing distance that is tuned to their playstyle.

The new Gen-3 Razer Optical Mouse Switches are also in place here, rated for up to 90 million clicks for long-lasting use.

The Razer Viper V2 Pro will be available starting this week for £149.99.
