Nintendo may finally bring Twilight Princess and Wind Waker to Switch

The Legend of Zelda is one of Nintendo’s most prestigious franchises. Though the release of 2017’s Breath of the Wild somewhat reinvented the franchise, older entries in the series are still loved by millions. After more than 5 years on the market, the Switch may finally be getting The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and The Wind Waker.

This leak comes from industry insider Jeff Grubb who during the most recent episode of his Nintendo podcast claimed that The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess and The Wind Waker would be coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year – most likely in October.

According to Grubb, these games will release as part of a double pack, meaning that Switch owners will be getting two games for the price of one. Of course, it is worth noting that while both of these titles received Wii U HD remasters, Twilight Princess and The Wind Waker originally released for the GameCube, meaning that these games are technically multiple generations old.

With that in mind, releasing the games as a twin pack does make sense, though with Nintendo’s history or re-releases such generosity would be surprising. We will have to wait and see when Nintendo officially announces this twin pack – or not.

KitGuru says: What do you think of these games? Would Nintendo release them as a twin pack? What other Wii U games do you still want to come to Switch? Let us know what you think down below.
