Firaxis has been working away on its Marvel-based tactical RPG, Midnight Suns, for a few years now. After announcing the game in August 2021 with a March 2022 release date, the game was quickly delayed to later in the year. Now, all signs are pointing towards the game launching soon.
As spotted by Final Weapon, recently, Marvel's Midnight Suns has been rated in South Korea, as well as in Australia. Usually, these ratings board leaks occur within a month or so of a major announcement, meaning we may be able to expect Midnight Suns at Summer Games Fest next month.
Marvel's Midnight Suns will still be turn based, but rather than having an action bar for each hero, there is a card-based battle system. At the start of a combat scenario, you are dealt a hand of cards containing abilities for your heroes, from there it is up to you to use those abilities wisely to beat the mission. There will be a hub area where all of your superheroes can interact with each other, and Firaxis has previously confirmed plans for an in-game social system.
Marvel's Midnight Suns is currently expected to release this year, and we should get an official update on the game in June.

KitGuru Says: It has been years since XCOM 2 and Fire Emblem: Three Houses, so I've been itching for a new strategy RPG for a while. Will many of you be picking this up later in the year?
