Dying Light 2 released earlier in 2022 after many years of delays and uncertainty surrounding the sequel to 2015’s hit open-world zombie game. After struggling to get the title out the door initially, the team at Techland have now announced that they are delaying the first piece of post-launch DLC.
Making the announcement on Twitter, the team at Techland said, “Dear Pilgrims, your feedback always has the highest priority for us, and we want to be honest and transparent with you. We will still need a bit more time to develop the first story DLC. It is now planned to be released in September.”
Though this news may disappoint some, Techland will be releasing other much-requested features in the interim, with June seeing the team “introduce the first game Chapter entitled “In the Footsteps of a Nightrunner,” filled with content and events, as well as the highly anticipated photo mode” which should hopefully tide fans over until the first major piece of DLC.
While it may be disappointing to some that Dying Light 2’s DLC is being delayed, the team has already promised 5 years worth of post-launch support for the game, and with it only having released on the 3rd of February, Techland is nowhere near done with the world of Dying Light 2.
