Intel’s XeSS upscaling tech to launch next week

Intel announces its XeSS upscaling technology earlier this year, with plans for game developers to adopt the feature throughout this year. Now, according to the developers behind the game ‘Dolmen', XeSS will be launching next week.

In an interview with Wccftech, Kiev Martins, a producer at Massive Work Studio, stated that Dolmen will be the first game to support the three leading upscaling technologies – DLSS, FSR and XeSS.

Dolmen is scheduled to launch for $39.99 on Steam, as well as PlayStation and Xbox consoles on May 20th. On that same day, the developers will launch a Day 1 patch, bringing support for Intel XeSS to the game.

Besides Dolmen, more games will also support XeSS, including Hitman III, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and Death Stranding, among others. These will eventually receive a patch, but exact dates are still unknown.

KitGuru says: After Dolmen, it shouldn't take long for other games to receive the promised patch with Intel XeSS. With some luck, we may even get it on the 20th, right after Dolmen's launch.
