There is a Dragon Ball Z MOBA game on the way for PC

Bandai Namco has been attempting some very different styles of Dragon Ball games over the last couple of years. We had Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, a massive open-world RPG, and Dragon Ball Breakers, a Dead by Daylight style multiplayer game featuring characters from the series. Next up, the publisher is looking to release a Dragon Ball MOBA game.

Dragon Ball Project Multi is the codename for the upcoming DBZ MOBA title. MOBA games are top-down action-strategy games, where players battle over lanes, looking to advance further into enemy territory to destroy their base. These matches can often be long and intense, as showcased by competitive MOBAs like Dota 2 and League of Legends. For this game, it looks like players will be looking to break through defences in order to steal the opposite team's Dragon Ball.

While the MOBA craze has died down a bit since the early to mid 2010s, this is the first anime-licensed game in this genre for PC. In Dragon Ball Project Multi, two teams of four players will go head to head. Some characters already confirmed for the game include Goku, Vegeta, Future Trunks, Piccolo, Krillin, Android 18, Cooler, Zamasu, Vermoud and Majin Buu. However, we would expect the final roster to be much larger, with characters from other Dragon Ball films, as well as Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT and Dragon Ball Super.

A regional beta test will be available for PC and mobile later this month with more details still to come.

KitGuru Says: I'm not sure this will rise through the ranks to rival the biggest MOBAs currently on the market, but with the Dragon Ball license in hand, the game should garner a decent amount of interest at launch.
