Borderlands movie debuts as worst-rated video game movie ever

There were already plenty of eyebrows raised about the upcoming Borderlands movie after actors began distancing themselves from the project after filming. Now, the first wave of reviews are in, and Borderlands has debuted as the lowest-rated video game movie of all time.

Borderlands has scored a 0% score on Rotten Tomatoes based on over 13 critic reviews. Most of the reviews cite a low-stakes, uninteresting plot and poor action sequences as key reasons for low review scores. Some even go as far as to say the movie will do nothing to thrill either fans of the game, or complete newcomers.

With a 0% score on Rotten Tomatoes, Borderlands sits at the bottom of the list for rated video game adaptations, debuting below some of the worst 2000s-era films, like Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li, Alone in the Dark, House of the Dead, Blood Rayne and Postal

The Borderlands movie will be available to watch at cinemas starting tomorrow, the 9th of August. The film cost over $100 million to produce and does star some well known actors, including Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Cate Blanchett and Jamie Lee Curtis. If the reviews are any indication though, none of these big names are able to carry this movie.
