Thermal Grizzly introduces Intel Mycro Direct-Die RGB Pro V1 CPU water block

Thermal Grizzly has unveiled the Intel Mycro Direct-Die RGB Pro V1 CPU, an improved variant of the Intel Mycro Direct-Die CPU water block. Sporting a fresh aesthetic, the Pro version promises to improve cooling performance.

The updated cooling channel slot width on the copper base plate of the Intel Mycro Direct-Die Pro RGB V1 accommodates 43% more cooling fins compared to its predecessor. Additionally, a newly designed jet plate minimises flow resistance, enabling the Pro version to achieve a greater flow rate in L/m at the same pump speed as the original model. This enhanced flow capability allows for adjusting the pump to reduce noise or disperse more waste heat while maintaining the same noise level.

The Intel Mycro Direct-Die Pro RGB V1 is designed to be coupled with liquid metal between the CPU die and the block's plate. To prevent gallium-based liquid metal from diffusing into the copper, the copper cooler is nickel-plated. Moreover, the block features an anodised aluminium lid and customisable RGB LED lighting (3-pin ARGB header) beneath the tempered acrylic glass. The custom water cooling circuit is connected through an I/O with G1/4-inch threading.

Thanks to various refinements to the micro fin structure of the base plate and a revamped water flow, users can expect up to 6 ºC lower processor temperatures under full load (contingent on ambient temperature, water cooling system setup, and chip design). Interested users can now find the Thermal Grizzly Mycro Direct-Die RGB Pro V1 CPU water block available on the company's website for €129.90/$141.59 (VAT + shipping costs included).
