ASUS ROG launches world’s first 500Hz gaming monitor

Nvidia has been working with gaming monitor makers for years to push new ideas, from G-Sync to BFGDs. More recently, the company has been focused on pushing higher refresh rates, showcasing the latency benefits of Reflex and a 144Hz, 240Hz or 360Hz display. Now, things are going to be pushed further, with Asus launching the world's first 500Hz G-Sync gaming monitor.

Last night during Nvidia's Computex keynote, the new Asus ROG Swift 500Hz G-Sync esports Gaming Monitor with Reflex was announced. This is a 24-inch, 1080p display with an E-TN panel, which produces 60% quicker response times than standard TN panels.

The crowning feature of the monitor is its 500Hz refresh rate, which also includes the Nvidia Reflex Analyser, so you can measure latency and ensure you are getting the most responsive gameplay possible.

There is no specific launch date for this monitor yet, but hopefully we will be able to get our hands on it before the end of the year. Pricing has also not been confirmed at this time.
