FIFA 22 is coming to EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate next week

It has been roughly nine months since FIFA 22 first launched and now, the game will be more accessible to players around the world. Starting on the 23rd of June, FIFA 22 will join the EA Play library, so anyone with a standard EA Play subscription (or an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription) can download the full game on console or PC.

Up to now, EA Play members only had access to a 10-hour trial of FIFA 22, but that's changing next week when EA introduces the full game to the service. With the addition of the latest FIFA title, the EA Play subscription will include all EA Sports' 2021 games, including Madden NFL 2022, NHL 2022 and F1 2021.

The introduction of FIFA 22 to EA Play comes ten months after its original release. The game received good reviews, averaging 78% at Opencritic, with reviewers praising gameplay and criticising the micro transactions on Ultimate Team. It's also worth noting that the PC, PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game are slightly inferior in terms of visuals and gameplay compared to the Xbox Series X|S and PS5.

If you have an active EA Play account or an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, you can download and play it on June 23rd. The standard Xbox Game Pass subscription on PC also includes EA Play, so if you only subscribe to Game Pass for your PC, then you'll also get access to FIFA 22 next week.
