FSR 2.0 launched just a few weeks ago and a number of game developers have already revealed plans to implement the new upscaling tech. Bethesda's Deathloop was the first game to add support in and now, God of War is joining the list.
In a patch this week, God of War (PC) was updated to support AMD's FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) 2.0. You'll have access to three quality presets – Quality, Balanced and Performance, which render the game at 67%, 59% and 50% screen resolution to save on performance and boost frame rates. The image is then upscaled to your native resolution with convincing results.
We haven't had the chance to test the FSR 2.0 update ourselves yet, but early impressions seem to be positive. You take a little bit of a performance hit compared to FSR 1.0, but you get improved visuals, which seems like a fair trade-off.
Other games set to support FSR 2.0 this year include: Asterigos, Delysium, EVE Online, Farming Simulator 22, Forspoken, Grounded, Hitman 3, Microsoft Flight Simulator, NiShuiHan, Perfect World Remake, Swordsman Remake, and Unknown 9: Awakening.
