BioWare officially announced Dragon Age 4 with a teaser trailer back in late 2020 and now roughly 18 months later, BioWare has given us a much needed update. The next Dragon Age game is known as Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, and will see the return of Solas from Dragon Age Inquisition.
BioWare first teased that the Dread Wolf would have something to do with the next game in the series all the way back in 2018.
Alongside confirming the name Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, BioWare teased a few more details about the story:
“Solas, the Dread Wolf. Some say he might be an ancient elven god, but some say not. Others say a betrayer of his people…or a savior who now seeks to rescue them at the cost of your world. His motives are inscrutable and his methods sometimes questionable, earning him a reputation as something of a trickster deity—a player of dark and dangerous games.”
BioWare isn't releasing further details just yet. However, the studio will be talking more about the game later this year. With that in mind, we may see it pop up at Summer Games Fest, Gamescom, or perhaps even The Game Awards in December. Current rumours suggest that Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is targeting a 2023 release date.
