God of War: Ragnarök to release in November

Sony has been extremely tight lipped this year when it comes to God of War: Ragnarök, sparking repeated speculation that the game will be delayed to 2023. According to a reliable source, however, the game is still on track for 2022, and is targeting a November release date.

According to Bloomberg's Jason Schreier, who has often proven to have accurate sources, three people familiar with the matter have said the game is targeting a November release date. Better yet, there are also plans to announce the release date later this month.

This report follows a report from Gamereactor, which cited “multiple European sources” that claimed the game was delayed to next year.

Back in April, on the anniversary of God of War (2018), director Cory Barlog asked fans to be patient as the last stretch of development continues. The game has not appeared at either of Sony's recent State of Play streams, but if the game really is coming out in November, Sony should host a dedicated stream to showcase the game at some point, just as it did last year with Horizon Forbidden West.

KitGuru Says: While usually not seeing gameplay by now would be a sure sign that there is a delay coming, but it seems Sony is doing everything it can internally to avoid doing that.
