While many of us were anticipating Forza Motorsport to be a holiday 2022 title, Turn10 actually has its sights set on a 2023 release date. On the plus side, it is looking like the game will be worth the wait for racing fans.
Today during the Xbox and Bethesda showcase, Turn10 Studios took to the stage to showcase Forza 8 gameplay for the first time. All of the footage was captured from an Xbox Series X, giving us a look at overhauled physics, graphical enhancements, real-time ray-tracing during on-track races, advanced car damage and more:
Forza Motorsport (Forza 8) won't be coming as soon as initially anticipated, but it is targeting a ‘Spring 2023′ release date, so it should be available on Xbox, PC and Game Pass by this time next year. Most of Microsoft's showcase this year focused on games releasing in the next 12 months, so the same can be said about all games shown during today's stream.
If you need your Forza fix this year, then there is something new on offer. Playground Games' excellent open-world racer, Forza Horizon 5, is getting its first expansion – Hot Wheels, which you can read more about HERE.
