Last year, we first heard that Capcom may finally be working on Dragon's Dogma 2, close to ten years after the release of the original game. Now, as part of Capcom's Dragon's Dogma 10th Anniversary celebrations, the sequel has been officially announced.
Last night during a livestream, Hideaki Itsuno announced Dragon's Dogma 2, apologising for keeping fans waiting and adding that everyone on the team is hard at work creating the game.
As predicted last year, Dragon's Dogma 2 will indeed use the RE Engine, which Capcom has been using for all of its major projects in recent years. Unfortunately, aside from that, not many details were shared.
Currently, Dragon's Dogma 2 does not have a release date, and the teaser hasn't given us a lot to go on. With that in mind, expect the game to still be a couple of years away from release.
