Intel Arc Alchemist consumer desktop graphics cards have finally arrived, at least in China. Alongside Intel's reference A380 model, Gunnir has also announced the first custom-cooled version of the graphics card.
As reported by VideoCardz, the Intel Arc A380 is an entry-level GPU based on the Xe-HPG architecture, packing an ACM-G11 GPU with 8 Xe-cores (1024 FP32 cores) with a base clock of 2,000MHz. The memory subsystem features 6GB of GDDR6 memory clocked at 16Gbps across a 96-bit bus, maxing the memory bandwidth at 192GB/s. The card's TDP is set at 75W.
Compared to an AMD Radeon RX 6400, this card is claimed to offer up to 25% more performance. The GPU is aimed at offering 1080p/60FPS gaming with medium detail settings. The card's reference design uses a black shroud and a single fan in what seems to be a 2-slot arrangement.
The Gunnir's A380 Photon OC is a factory-overclocked version of this graphics card with two fans, one more than the reference card, but keeps the 2-slot design. The GPU comes clocked at 2,450MHz, which is a nice boost over the reference base clock. However, the memory only comes in at 15.5Gbps, a decrease from the reference value. Gunnir's card has a 92W TBP and is powered by an 8-pin power connector.
In China, the Arc A380's MSRP is 1030 yuan, which converts to around £127. The price of the Gunnir A380 graphics card wasn't announced.

KitGuru says: This is an entry-level GPU, so it isn't the most exciting graphics card planned in Intel's line-up, but at least things are finally moving forward.
