The best gaming monitor deals for Amazon Prime Day 2022

Amazon Prime Day has officially arrived and there are tons of deals to be had. Not only can Prime members claim over 30 games for free this week, but there are also loads of discounts on PC gaming gear, making now a perfect time to pick up an upgrade. After doing some digging, it looks like now is an especially good time to pick up a new gaming monitor.

At the entry-level, there are Prime Day deals on a bunch of high refresh rate 1080p monitors, starting at just £129.99 for the LG UltraGear Gaming 24GN53A-B, knocking almost 30% off its usual price. The MSI Optix G27X6 is also a good option here, coming in at £147.25 but offering a larger display, 165Hz refresh rate and 1500R curvature.

AOC and ASUS also have worthy considerations in this price bracket, including the AOC Gaming 24G2U at £153.99 and the ASUS TUF Gaming VG258QM, offering a 280Hz refresh rate and DisplayHDR 400 at just £175. If you are after something with a bit more resolution, then there are plenty of options on that front too. The Samsung Odyssey G5 is currently down to £229, offering 1440p resolution at 144Hz, 1ms response time, FreeSync Premium and HDR10.

At £399, you can make the jump to an AOC Gaming U28G2XU, offering 4K resolution at 144Hz, 1ms response time, DisplayHDR 400 and FreeSync Premium Pro. At this price point, the AOC Gaming monitor is absolutely worth the price, coming in significantly lower than the £590 launch price from our review.

The Samsung Odyssey AG700 also offers 4K/144Hz gaming and HDMI 2.1, which will support 120Hz with next-gen consoles, but it is more expensive, coming in at £480.

Perhaps the best monitor deal of the day comes from ASUS. If you want the fastest monitor money can buy, then you'll want to look at the ROG Swift PG259QNR, an esports focused monitor with a blazing fast 360Hz refresh rate. Typically, this monitor costs upwards of £800, but for Prime Day, it has dropped to £499.
