July’s PS Plus Premium/Extra games officially announced

After many leaks, rumours and a lot of waiting, Sony finally launched its revamped PlayStation Plus service, offering an Xbox Game Pass like experience. July marks the service’s first month of new additions, and we now know the full list of all 20 games arriving next week.

Making the announcement on the PlayStation Blog, Adam Michel, the Director of Content Acquisition & Operations at SIE said “Today we’re happy to reveal the inaugural Game Catalog lineup for the all-new PlayStation Plus, which will be available to play for Extra and Premium members on July 19. It’s headlined by the much-anticipated feline adventure Stray, which makes its debut as part of the catalog.”

With that, the full list of games coming to PlayStation Plus Extra/Premium is as follows:

PS4 Games

  • Assassin's Creed Unity | PS4
  • Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag | PS4
  • Assassin's Creed Rogue Remastered | PS4
  • Assassin's Creed Freedom Cry | PS4
  • Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection | PS4
  • Final Fantasy VII Remake | PS4
  • Saints Row IV: Re-Elected | PS4
  • Saints Row Gat out of Hell | PS4
  • Ice Age: Scrat's Nutty Adventure | PS4
  • Jumanji The Video Game | PS4
  • Paw Patrol on a Roll! | PS4
  • ReadySet Heroes | PS4

PS5 Games

  • Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade | PS5
  • Marvel's Avengers | PS4, PS5
  • Spirit of the North: Enhanced Edition | PS5
  • Stray | PS4, PS5

Classic Games

  • No Heroes Allowed! (PSP)
  • LocoRoco Midnight Carnival (PSP)

While not directly comparable to Xbox Game Pass as 1st-party games do not launch day-one on Sony’s service, the 3rd-party list of games is expansive indeed – and if this level of additions continue as the months progress, then PS Plus Extra/Premium will be more than worth it. We will have to wait and see what month two looks like.
