Sony has been extremely tight lipped this year when it comes to God of War: Ragnarök, sparking repeated speculation that the game will be delayed to 2023. Recently, sources claimed that the game is not delayed and is actually planned for a November launch, which will be announced during a State of Play before the end of June. Now, we seem to have confirmation that this is the case.
Two weeks ago, Bloomberg's Jason Schreier reported that God of War: Ragnarok is targeting a November release date, citing sources familiar with the matter. Those sources also claimed there would be an announcement at the end of June.
Now, Twitter leaker ‘The Snitch', who has a perfect track record of leaks so far, has teased that God of War: Ragnarök news is coming on the 30th of June. The date makes sense, as typically Sony will host State of Play streams on a Thursday.
Assuming the game has not been delayed at the last minute, we should get new gameplay footage and a release date trailer confirming a November launch. It is also worth noting that director, Cory Barlog, is now back on social media, further indicating that Sony Santa Monica is ready to end its period of silence.
