Techland has been keeping busy since launching Dying Light 2, supporting the game for all owners with many free updates, as well as a few paid DLCs. Now, it looks like Techlands' next major project could be on the horizon, titled ‘Dying Light: The Beast'.
Techland filed for a trademark for the title ‘Dying Light: The Beast' in the US recently, as discovered by serial leaker, Kurakasis. The trademark is filed under classes for software and computer games, as well as a few unrelated categories like electrical apparatus, cutlery, scientific appliances and even musical instruments.

The trademark was filed just a couple of days ago, so it has not yet been approved. It is unclear if this is a new game in the Dying Light universe, or an expansion for one of the main games in the franchise. It doesn't appear to be a sequel to Dying Light 2, which Techland is continuing to support with updates.
Gamescom is coming up in just one week, so perhaps Techland has an announcement planned around then.
KitGuru Says: This could be just about anything based on the number of classes the trademark is applied for. However, I think it is safe to assume that this will be a game or DLC of some sort, unless Techland is taking a dive into cross-media with a comic or series.
