We already know that Final Fantasy 16 is due to hit PC soon, but it turns out an Xbox version may also be on the way.
While Final Fantasy 16 and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth both achieved high praise from players, due to both titles being PS5 exclusive, Square Enix felt pressure on the sales side. Since then, Square Enix has vowed to adopt a more platform-agnostic strategy to improve game sales. Part of that effort saw Final Fantasy 14 landing on Xbox earlier this year, now, Final Fantasy 16 could be next.
According to reliable leaker, NateDrake, Final Fantasy 16 is coming to Xbox, but there is no word on when Square Enix will announce it. It is possible that the exclusivity deal with Sony has not yet run its course. In the past, Sony and Square Enix have hatched one-year, multi-year and six-month exclusivity deals, so it is difficult to pinpoint how long Final Fantasy 16 has to remain confined to the PS5 platform.
Final Fantasy 16 is the latest mainline game in the franchise and my personal favourite. It tells a fantastical medieval-inspired story that takes inspiration from western media like Game of Thrones. It also has some of the best combat and boss fights in the entire series. The game is due to launch on PC soon, with an announcement potentially coming as early as next week at Gamescom.

KitGuru Says: Hopefully the days of ‘exclusive' Final Fantasy games may finally come to an end. While once upon a time, it may have been true that most fans of the series owned a PlayStation console, the same can't be said today.
