While PlayStation gamers were not too keen on Sony's recent PS5 remasters for The Last of Us Part 1 and Part 2, these latest versions of the games have been better received by PC players. PC gamers got their first taste of The Last of Us last year with Part 1 Remastered and now in early 2025, Part 2 will be landing on Steam.
The Last of us Part 2 Remastered is officially coming to PC. The release date is set for the 3rd of April and a new trailer gives us a good look at what to expect in terms of graphics and PC-specific features:
Like Sony's other first-party PC games, The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered will support high resolutions and refresh rates, as well as ultrawide displays. You'll have full key binding for keyboard and mouse, and you'll have access to a few extra graphics options to enhance the visuals beyond what is available on consoles.
Sony's in-house PC porting experts, Nixxes, with help from Iron Galaxy, are behind the PC version of The Last of Us Part 2. The game proved controversial to some due to certain story decisions but ultimately, it is a very solid and graphically impressive game that does a lot to flesh out the world building around the series, introducing us to new factions and characters with very different experiences to those of Joel and Ellie.
